Karlsborg Municipality has a central child and student health service whose overall goal is to contribute to a positive upbringing and learning situation for all children and students in the municipality.

The aim is for all children and students to receive the support or challenge they need in their learning and development to achieve the preschool's goals and the curriculum's knowledge requirements. The idea of placing child and student health centrally is to create an equitable child and student health service throughout the municipality. The service is located in shared premises that also house the Family Center, which is also part of child and student health. The following professional groups work within child and student health: special educators, school nurses, school social workers, speech therapists, preschool teachers, school psychologists, and school doctors. We are currently looking for a temporary special educator during a staff member's parental leave.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a temporary special educator with a central placement within the Child and Student Health Unit. In your role, you will be responsible for special education work within preschool and primary school in Karlsborg Municipality. The work involves, among other things, assessments/investigations and guidance of staff, among other things. In collaboration with other special educators, you will work to develop routines based on an equitable working method to ensure that our students meet their knowledge requirements. The work requires both independence, flexibility, and good collaboration skills.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained special educator or special teacher who can work as a special educator. Previous experience in special education work in preschool and/or school is an advantage. You have a pedagogical approach and find it easy to communicate with both children and youth as well as in guiding staff. You are easy to collaborate with and passionate about creating the best conditions for children's learning.

The position is a full-time position for preschool and school but with the possibility of part-time if, for example, you are studying.
